Just 25km from Cefalu, in the territory of S.Mauro Castelverde, immersed in unpolluted greenery, it is possible to travel through them in a dinghy that gets lost between the gorges of the mountain and the curves of its rocky walls, up to 50m high. It hides caves full of fossil remains dating to about 150 million years ago and small beaches where you can see rare amphibian species and nests of various species of birds.
